The conference took place at the Petros M. Nomikos Conference Centre, located in the capital of Santorini island, Thira, overlooking the caldera and the volcano.

The world famous island of Santorini is the most southern island of the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. It is located 120 nautical miles south of Piraeus (the harbor of Athens) and 63 nautical miles north of Crete.
